Please Advise...

I love the natural light and the "big-ness" of my new kitchen. The apple trim has got to go. Also, I found these really cute tile tatoos (see above) I could use over the apple red tiles. Still, I'm really struggling to decide if I paint the cabinets-and if so, do I go with white, black, green, or blue. Yellow? What about the walls? Floors can't change. It's fairly new tile, but a bit orange-ish.

Please Advise!!

I like the orangish tile floor. Painting your cabinets is not a fun job. Seriously. but it is cheaper than replacing the countertops which I think is actually the way to go. I love the tile tatoos!!

planning on a professional doing the painting if it is done at all. The counter tops are new, so hard to justify changing 'em out. Maybe I should think chocolate brown cabinets-dark but not black. Then some fun paint colors??

Have you thought of painting the walls blue, to tie in the earthy brown floor/cabinets, red tiles and cream counters?? If you pick the right shade (robin's egg blue?) it would look whimsical, without being overly patriotic!

This is a hard one. What color are your appliances? You dont want to make the room too dark in color especially with the Arkansas heat. Go with a lighter color... try this site :

take your pic of yoru kitchen and paint in the colors virtually.

I actually like everything about that room the way it is, except for the trim around the top of the walls. I'm not a big fan of those.

I love the cabinets as is...I can't see the knobs and stuff very well, but have you considered updating those to give you a new look? I agree - the apples must go!

There is some great potential here. I am a fan of color. Careful with green as there are red accent tiles... and it may turn Christmas-y. A robin-egg blue would be lovely... or an antiqued turquoise. Or a sunny yellow color.
You might be able to cover the red tiles with vinyl (like the stuff you stick on the walls for lettering, etc)... and you can get that in almost any color.
Look for a piece of fabric with a combination of colors that inspires you and go from there! Good luck!

i actually like the floor tiles. the cabinets don't look too bad to me...maybe it's the picture. you could try changing out all the knobs and pulls to update a bit...
