I first read the books when I was teaching junior high and the kids were all into them. Josh went to see the first movie with me, and he is also hooked. We read the books together as they were published.
But when I really get into a book: That is all I do. I get so obsessed. Nothing is done. So, I just finished reading the last book after seeing the movie the other night. I read it in two days, but less than 48 hours. If Josh was home he asked me to read aloud and when he would read I quickly cleaned up or cooked. The kids had access to movies, cookies and hot dogs. I had water and my book. The house was trashed, but it mattered not. For two days I was somewhere else-lost in a book. Getting lost in a book is a special feeling that doesn't always happen even with good literature. But, I love the feeling and embrace it!
I love the characters. J.K. Rowling is amazing. I feel like the characters are real people, I love how they are all flawed in some real believing way.
I love how they love but are also insecure;
how they hope but also fear.
I love how they stand and fight at the end, and when Neville shouts "Dumbledore's Army" I love how I get emotional.
This is the best fiction ever!

I agree. She created a universe that one could easily get lost in. That is my favorite kind of book, where you get absorbed into it and everything becomes that story. That is why I read.
I love how she left the last book open for a whole new series. Anyone heard if she is thinking about developing it?
I love them. Absolutely love them. And I'm slightly obsessed too, but in a completely healthy way. :)
We just saw the 6th movie and loved it. I totally want to reread the series, they are packed away. Time for a visit to the library!
